This week is National Volunteer Week and is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering. It celebrates the diverse passions and talents everyone brings to volunteering. This year’s theme is ‘Something for Everyone,’ highlighting that there is a place for everyone in the world of volunteering.
Over the past year, we have been fortunate to have 114 dedicated volunteers who generously gave over 10,400 hours of their time to support our residents and clients. Their selfless service, ranging from social visits and engaging activities to clergy visits, pet visits, and musical performances, helps uplift our residents and clients each day and reminds them they are not forgotten.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our volunteers on this special week. You are an integral part of our community, bringing warmth and compassion to those who need it most. Your work is extraordinary, every day, and we couldn’t be more thankful for your commitment and passion.
