Donovan House Respite Centre in Forrestfield provides an essential service to carers in the local community, offering day or overnight respite when needed.
The centre can cater to up to 20 daily clients, including five overnight clients.
Day Respite is from 9am to 3.30pm unless prior arrangements have been made with the Centre Coordinator. Clients can visit on a one-off or regular basis.
Overnight respite is 24 hours, and clients can be dropped off at 9am. The centre is open for visitors between 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday.
Carers can access Government funding for in-home, overnight cottage and day respite through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme/Home Care Package or pay for respite services privately.
