SCC’s Retirement Villages are helping to spread the word about health and wellness among residents and visitors, hosting a number of health and wellness events, with a packed schedule of events planned for the rest of the year.

Each event includes a knowledgeable guest speaker who will talk about a variety of health and wellness topics. The events will coincide with our open days, enabling prospective buyers the opportunity to see first hand all that our villages have to offer.

One of the most popular sessions held recently was with guest speaker Dorothy Scott from Laugh WA  who led the group in a very enjoyable session of laughter yoga. Laugh WA believes that through laughter yoga, we build healthier minds, bodies and communities.

We also welcomed a guest speaker from APHRA for an informative session about ‘My Health Record’,  making us the first aged care provider in Western Australia to do so. Feedback from those who attended the session was very positive, with attendees coming away with a better understanding of the benefits of ‘My Health Record’.
