Southern Cross Care (WA) CEO Claire Grieveson

Clare Grieveson

Chief Executive Officer


Clare Grieveson leads the Group's executive team to deliver the organisation's vision, mission, and values. Clare commenced as Chief Executive Officer with Southern Cross Care (WA) Inc (SCC) in November 2021.

Clare has more than 25 years as an experienced senior executive in the health and aged care sectors in both the United Kingdom and Australia. She has worked in senior management roles at Monash Health in Melbourne, and the Victorian Department of Health. Clare is a Board Member of Assisi Aged Care in Victoria. Before her appointment at SCC, Clare held the role of Executive Director Quality, Safety, and Innovation at Mercy Health.

Clare has had a close involvement in advisory roles with government on policy issues and changes currently affecting the aged care sector. With a passion for working closely with consumers and health businesses, she was part of the leadership team that developed innovative healthy ageing service offerings at Mercy Health.

Clare has a clinical background in speech pathology and holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Speech Sciences from University College London. She also holds a Masters Degree in Health Services Management from Monash University and has a Graduate Certificate in Leadership and Catholic Culture from Australian Catholic University. Clare is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Australian Institute of Clinical Governance.


Bret Campbell

Chief Financial Officer


Bret is responsible for leading the Group’s finance and risk portfolios.  He oversees the organisation’s financial reporting by partnering with operational departments to improve the transparency of business finances that will ultimately translate to better operational performance.

Bret is an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with extensive knowledge of the aged and community care sector. Most recently Bret held the position of CFO at the Brightwater Care Group between 2016 and 2021. With more than 18 years’ experience in the aged care and community sector and in retirement living, Bret is an experienced executive with a significant track record leading teams in finance, IT services, procurement, risk, strategic planning, health information and business analytics.

Bret has led strategic performance improvements in both home and aged care businesses and pursued more than $550m in major growth opportunities. Bret has held the roles of Executive Director Business Services and Systems at MercyCare, and CFO at St Ives Group.

Bret holds a Bachelor of Business from Curtin University, is a qualified CPA and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.


Michelle De Ronchi

Chief Operating Officer


Michelle De Ronchi leads the key care and service delivery units for the Group. She oversees the operations management of the organisation’s residential aged care, home care, mental health and disability services portfolios.

Michelle is an experienced executive leader with more than 20 years’ executive experience in the health, aged care and training sectors in Australia, most recently holding the position of CEO for Oryx Communities and one of Australia's largest national in-home aged care providers.

Michelle has an impressive background spanning quality improvement, clinical governance, client-centric care models, general management and previous CEO experience. She has a drive and commitment to providing excellence in person-centred care and a workplace environment where staff can thrive. Committed to continuous improvement, she works closely with residents/clients and staff to ensure that we can provide the best possible care.

Michelle is a Registered Nurse. She also holds directorships within the not-for-profit sector.


Mark Zoller

Chief Property Officer

B.Sc (Hons) Building

Mark Zoller is responsible for leading the SCC Group’s property development portfolio and capital projects, with a strong focus on innovative quality-built outcomes that meet consumers’ needs.

Mark has spent his entire career in the Property Construction and Development Industry in the UK, the east coast of Australia and in Perth. With more than 30 years’ experience and knowledge leading projects to create planned communities and leading retirement living operational teams, he has worked for well-known aged care and retirement living brands Stockland, Bethanie and Ingenia.

Mark has had an extensive career in house building and development, establishing his own building company and holding an executive leader role at Niche Living. Prior to commencing his role with Southern Cross Care (WA) Inc in August 2021, Mark was the Senior Development Manager for Bethanie where he was responsible for significant campuses of retirement living and aged care with up to 176 beds and 350 retirement apartments.

Mark has led a range of award-winning retirement living and aged care projects including a green fields lifestyle village with club house and facilities, and medium density housing apartments. With a commitment to sustainable building principles, he has led Green Star accreditation for new retirement facilities.
