Our residential care home teams have been hard at work with our residents, their families and volunteers to create a Crafty Christmas, filling their homes with hand-made decorations to celebrate the festive season.
As well as promoting connection and a sense of community, the winners took out prize money to spend on an event or activity materials that are meaningful to the residents.
Congratulations to Germanus Kent House in Broome for winning the Crafty Christmas competition and the $1,000 grand prize! Joseph Cooke House came close in 2nd position and earned themselves $500, while Villa Pelletier took our 3rd place with $250.
Thanks to everyone in the Southern Cross Care (WA) community for supporting the initiative and helping to combat loneliness and isolation this Christmas!
