The land where Victoria Park Nursing Home now stands was originally a community park given the name Victoria Park in 1898 in memory of Queen Victoria.

In 1968 the Victoria Park Aged Care Home was opened to the public by the Little Sisters of the Poor. The home was upgraded in 1997 and Southern Cross Care took ownership in 2009.
