Caring for our carers

Tony Quinlan Respite Centre in Hilton offers valuable support to carers of people in later life and those living with dementia.

The centre provides an essential service to carers in the local community by providing day or overnight respite on either a one-off or regular basis.

Our trained employees take the time to understand the needs and interests of the clients they care for, providing an enjoyable and relaxing atmosphere. They have developed various activities designed to promote cognitive stimulation and social connections.

Tony Quinlan Respite Centre can accommodate up to 15 clients per day, including six overnight clients, at any one time.

Day respite is from 9am to 3.30pm unless prior arrangements have been made with the Centre Coordinator.

Tony Quinlan Respite Centre also offers 24-hour overnight respite.

Carers can access Government funding for in-home, overnight cottage and day respite through the Commonwealth Home Support Programme/Home Care Package or pay for respite services privately.
