Southern Cross Care is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to its board. Anne Arnold and Chris Hunt will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organisation and will play a vital role in supporting Southern Cross Care’s future direction and growth.
Anne Arnold is the Chief Executive of the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia, the peak advocacy group and professional association for real estate agents. Her background is largely in the not-for-profit sector, excluding the three years she spent as the inaugural director of the Office of Housing Policy at the Department of Housing. She is a former Executive Director of the WA Division of the Urban Development Institute, served as Commissioner and Deputy Chairman of the Western Australian Planning Commission in the 1990s and is currently Deputy Chair of the Heritage Council of Western Australia. Ms Arnold’s extensive experience in the housing sector will assist with future Southern Cross Care developments and facilities.
Building from a strong background in the resources sector, Chris Hunt is an expert in resource banking, having held senior management roles within the Financial Markets Division of BankWest. He is also a former State Chairman and State Executive Officer of the Knights of the Southern Cross in WA, an association that has long been involved with the care and welfare of the elderly within the WA community. His role with the Knights of the Southern Cross has provided Chris with an excellent understanding of Southern Cross Care’s history and priorities..
The appointment of the new board members has been warmly welcomed by John Bryant, Chairman of Southern Cross Care WA. “I am delighted that Ms Arnold and Mr Hunt have joined the Southern Cross Care Board. Their vast experience and skills will be a great asset to the organisation and I look forward to working with them.”
