An Overview

Southern Cross Care (WA) Inc. (SCC) was established in 1966 as Southern Cross Homes. It has now developed into one of the largest and leading aged care providers in WA providing care, support and accommodation to almost 3,000 Western Australians.

SCC has a long and proud tradition of making a significant contribution to the well being and quality of life of older Australians. Being a not-for-profit organisation has meant that the benefits of our success are able to be fully re-invested into expanding the types of services SCC can provide and the geographical locations SCC is able to cover.

SCC owns and operates a range of residential care, independent living and community care facilities and services in metropolitan, rural and remote locations. It has been successful in implementing strategies and initiatives which have seen the levels of care and wellbeing of residents raised and the financial viability of the facilities improved.

Whilst SCC’s core business activities are as owners and operators of residential care, community care and independent living services, since 1999 SCC has also offered contract management and independent consultancy services to the aged care industry.
